ELC Brands Win at The Fragrance Foundation Awards

Tom Ford accepts his induction into the Fragrance Foundation’s Hall of Fame
On June 5, 2019, The Estée Lauder Companies’ (ELC) brands were recognized at the prestigious Fragrance Foundation Awards at Lincoln Center in New York City hosted by Jane Krakowski, award-winning actress. The Fragrance Foundation Awards, held annually since 1973, celebrate the global fragrance industry and its outstanding creative achievements in the world of perfumery.

Notably, Mr. Tom Ford was inducted to The Fragrance Foundation’s Hall of Fame, a prestigious recognition for the designer. TOM FORD BEAUTY, an ELC brand, began with Ford’s first fragrance, Black Orchid, which launched in 2006. Since then, the line has grown to include many more fragrances, as well as a color collection. Henry Golding, actor and star of “Crazy Rich Asians,” presented Mr. Ford with the award. Mr. Ford thanked his team at ELC including John Demsey, Executive Group President; Guillaume Jesel, Global Brand President, TOM FORD BEAUTY; and Mr. Leonard A. Lauder, Chairman Emeritus. “I would not be here today —nor would many of us in the room— if it were not for one of the greatest in this industry, Leonard Lauder, a true visionary and pioneer who has shown us all the way,” said Mr. Ford.

In addition to Tom Ford’s Hall of Fame award, TOM FORD BEAUTY also won Fragrance of the Year in the Women’s Luxury category for Lost Cherry, accepted by Guillaume Jesel. Jo Malone London’s Honeysuckle & Davana Cologne won Fragrance of the Year in the Women’s Prestige Category and Donna Karan Cashmere Mist was inducted into Fragrance Hall of Fame. Jo Malone London’s award was accepted by Beth Gustella, Vice President and North America General Manager for the brand, while Donna Karan’s award was accepted by Patrice Béliard, Senior Vice President and General Manager, Aramis and Designer Fragrances.
Overall, ELC had nine nominations across six brands including AERIN, By Killian, Donna Karen, Editions de Parfums Frédéric Malle, Jo Malone London, and TOM FORD BEAUTY. The Estée Lauder Companies congratulates its incredible brands on being recognized by The Fragrance Foundation.
