ELC Salutes All Veterans and Announces Enhanced Military Leave Policy

At The Estée Lauder Companies we are grateful for the brave service and sacrifice of men and women in uniform each and every day, and there are times throughout the year when we come together as a Company to give our collective thanks. Veterans Day is one of those moments in the United States, when we honor our ELC colleagues who wore the uniform, as well as all those who have served, and we extend our deepest gratitude to their families who sacrificed alongside them every step of the way.
We are humbled by our colleagues’ service in uniform and appreciate their many contributions now that they are in civilian clothes. At The Estée Lauder Companies, members of our Veterans Employee Resource Group continue to be role models and leaders. They dedicate themselves to their communities through countless volunteer hours and support our workforce through mentorship of new veteran employees.

Today we are proud to announce our enhanced U.S. Military Leave of Absence Policy for our employees who serve our country, in order to make it easier for them and their families to fulfill their duty. We know that service to our country often involves sacrifice at home. Our new policy intends to ease that burden on our employees who serve.
Under our expanded policy, ELC employees who are called to active duty or required to attend annual military reserve training will receive differential pay, which is the difference between the employee’s ELC salary and their active duty military pay, for up to one year. Additionally, this expanded policy ensures that ELC employees can retain their ELC medical benefits along with other benefits for up to one year when they are called to active duty or attend annual military reserve training.
