  • Christopher K. Wood has been appointed Senior Vice President, Asia/Pacific. He will report to Mr. Loomis.

Brand Appointments

Fabrice Weber appointed President, Prestige and Artisanal Fragrances and ELC Ventures (ELCV)

In his new position, Mr. Weber will assume oversight of Jo Malone London, Aramis and Designer Fragrances (ADF), Le Labo, By Kilian, Editions de Parfums Frédéric Malle and the Company’s ELCV portfolio. Working closely with Mr. Demsey and the brand leaders, Mr. Weber will further strengthen the Company’s fragrance portfolio strategy and execution, helping position brands to continue delivering strong growth, drive share, maximize consumer engagement, enhance brand-building strategies, and ignite new industry trends in the fragrance category. He will also oversee ELCV, leading its evolution and partnering closely with leaders and founders to grow high-potential brands and minority investments.

Mr. Weber’s global leadership experience, category expertise and business-building vision make him uniquely qualified to take the helm of this new role. After leading Travel Retail Worldwide and ADF for several years, Mr. Weber became the inaugural President of Asia/Pacific when the region was formed in 2007. As President, he led tremendous expansion in the Asia/Pacific region—including the China affiliate’s major growth trajectory in the last decade—launching new brands, entering high-growth channels, and tapping into the power of local relevance and social media to engage a highly diverse and influential consumer landscape. Today, Asia/Pacific is a fast-growing area of the Company. Mr. Weber joined the Company in 2001 as Vice President and General Manager, Travel Retail Worldwide, before his promotion to President, ADF and Lab Series, in 2004.

Daniel Annese takes on special assignment and announces plans to retire in January 2019

Daniel Annese, Global Brand President, ADF, has announced plans to retire in January 2019. Prior to his retirement, and effective in January 2018, Mr. Annese will move into a new role leading a special assignment supporting the international expansion of Smashbox, GLAMGLOW and BECCA.

Leading this special assignment, Mr. Annese will draw upon his vast experience growing brands internationally, and leverage his success helping brands such as Estée Lauder and TOM FORD BEAUTY expand their global businesses and drive share. As the President of ADF, Mr. Annese and his team led the development of brands such as Donna Karan New York/DKNY, Michael Kors, and Tory Burch, while transforming the global ADF organization to be more agile and responsive to the changing consumer landscape. With more than 25 years of experience and expertise spanning global brand management, category development, marketing, training, and retailer relationships, Mr. Annese is strongly positioned to help Smashbox, GLAMGLOW and BECCA grow in new markets.

Patrice Béliard appointed Senior Vice President, Global General Manager, Aramis and Designer Fragrances (ADF)

Patrice Béliard will succeed Mr. Annese. In his new role, Mr. Béliard will be responsible for shaping the global business strategy and delivering global growth for ADF.

Mr. Béliard is a proven strategic leader with prestige fragrance category expertise and international experience leading the growth of major global luxury brands. He joined the Company in 2016 as Senior Vice President, General Manager, Global Market Development for ADF, with oversight for global business development for the Company’s designer fragrance portfolio. In little more than one year, Mr. Béliard has established a solid international team, led the strategy to expand the global footprint of the Michael Kors fragrance business in key markets, and partnered with the Company’s region leaders to enhance marketing plan effectiveness across ADF. Prior to joining the Company, Mr. Béliard gained international and category experience at Shiseido, where for more than 15 years he held global leadership positions and was responsible for brand growth and distribution for multiple luxury brands.

Region Appointments

Mark Loomis appointed President, Asia/Pacific

Succeeding Mr. Weber is Mark Loomis. Building on Mr. Weber’s outstanding success, Mr. Loomis will oversee the region at large and drive the region’s key strategic priorities. Additionally, he will have responsibility for the Hong Kong regional office; the China, Hong Kong and Taiwan affiliates; and a number of regional corporate functions.

Mr. Loomis possesses vast brand, geography and channel experience, including a robust knowledge of the Asia/Pacific region. Since 2011, Mr. Loomis has been Senior Vice President, Asia/Pacific, leading the development of the Korea Innovation Hub, accelerating Asia-inspired product launches, and achieving significant success in channel diversification. Since joining the Company more than 20 years ago, Mr. Loomis has held positions of increasing responsibility including Vice President, Marketing, Estée Lauder, Travel Retail Worldwide; Regional Vice President, Canada; and Senior Vice President/General Manager, Estée Lauder International. Before assuming his current role, Mr. Loomis was President, Japan, and led the affiliate in this strategic market for six years.

Joy Fan promoted to Senior Vice President, General Manager, China

Joy Fan has been promoted in recognition of the tremendous success of the China affiliate and her strong efforts to leverage the significance of the Chinese consumer for the business globally. In addition to continuing her leadership of the China affiliate, Ms. Fan will also lead Asia/Pacific’s contributions to an enterprise-wide Consumer Engagement project.

Ms. Fan began leading the China affiliate in 2012. Her forward-thinking vision, deep grasp of Chinese consumer preferences and her success in strengthening growth in key channels, such as Online, has led China to become a second home market for the Company. Under Ms. Fan’s outstanding leadership, the China affiliate has achieved impressive growth, ending fiscal year 2017 with a net sales increase of 19% for the fiscal year. Ms. Fan joined the Company in 2005 as Brand Manager for Estée Lauder in China, and in 2010 she was promoted to Regional Vice President/General Manager, Asia/Pacific, for Estée Lauder and TOM FORD BEAUTY.

Christopher K. Wood appointed Senior Vice President, Asia/Pacific

In his new role, Christopher K. Wood will be responsible for Korea, Malaysia, Singapore, Japan, Australia, New Zealand, Thailand, and emerging South East Asia markets, as well as several regional corporate functions.

Mr. Wood is an early adopter of emerging innovation, retail and technology trends. As the General Manager of the Korea affiliate for a total of 11 years, in three separate assignments, he achieved significant operational efficiencies and introduced new retail formats and channels in Korea, expanded e/m-commerce capabilities, and leveraged social media innovation to engage both consumers and influencers. Mr. Wood has been with the Company for more than 24 years. He has served in a number of leadership roles across geographies, brands and the enterprise, including President of the Japan affiliate and leadership roles for Clinique in Canada and Germany. Mr. Wood also led the Company’s Strategic Modernization Initiative and the Global Information Services function. A successor for his current role will be announced at a later date.
