NEW YORK, NY, April 11, 2019 – Today The Estée Lauder Companies Inc. (NYSE:EL) announced the promotion of Bari Seiden-Young to Senior Vice President, Global Corporate Communications, Citizenship and Sustainability, effective immediately.

In her new role, Ms. Seiden-Young will oversee communications for The Estée Lauder Companies’ Global Corporate Citizenship and Sustainability (GCCS) organization, working to increase global awareness and communicate progress towards the company’s citizenship and sustainability goals. Ms. Seiden-Young will also continue to oversee The Estée Lauder Companies’ Breast Cancer Campaign (BCC) and Lauder Family Communications.

“I am thrilled that Bari Seiden-Young will be leading our citizenship and sustainability communications. Bari’s expertise and deep understanding of The Estée Lauder Companies’ commitment to giving back in the communities where we live and work make her ideally suited to take on this expanded role,” said Alexandra Trower, Executive Vice President, Global Communications.

“I look forward to partnering with Bari to continue The Estée Lauder Companies’ great work to build a more beautiful, responsible and sustainable world,” said Nancy Mahon, Senior Vice President, Global Corporate Citizenship and Sustainability.

As part of her expanded portfolio, Ms. Seiden-Young will also design and execute global programs that will bring the company archives, a rich history of the company’s evolution, to a much broader set of key global stakeholders, further telling the company narrative and enhancing corporate reputation.

Ms. Seiden-Young joined The Estée Lauder Companies in 2001 as Vice President, Global Communications, overseeing communications for the Aramis and Designer Fragrances division. Over the years, Ms. Seiden-Young worked on specialty brands including Bobbi Brown, Jo Malone London and La Mer. She was also integral to the development of the company’s corporate identity.

In 2010, Ms. Seiden-Young was appointed to lead The Estée Lauder Companies’ Breast Cancer Campaign and Lauder Family Communications, where she worked closely with The Campaign’s founder, Mrs. Evelyn H. Lauder. Since 2010, Ms. Seiden-Young and her team, in close partnership with ELC’s brands, regions and functions, have raised tens of millions of dollars directly supporting research, education and medical services in the fight against breast cancer.

Ms. Seiden-Young will continue to report jointly to Alexandra Trower, Executive Vice President, Global Communications, and Nancy Mahon, Senior Vice President, Global Corporate Citizenship and Sustainability.
